Our Process

While no two projects are exactly the same, we have developed a process at Strongheart which we have found to be very effective. Our emphasis is on listening, planning, communicating and completing your project with the highest standards possible.


Request for Estimate

Step 1 - Request for Estimate

Please take a moment to fill out the Request for Estimate form on our website. This will give us an idea of the scope of your project as well pertinent contact information. When you’re finished, just click “Send”. We will contact you within 24 hours to set-up an appointment and discuss the project.


Step 2 - Initial Consultation

Our number one goal at this step is to listen and learn how we can help make your dream a reality. We will visit your home to discuss your goals and budget and see the property. This is a very important meeting so it’s key that you have a clear vision of everything you would like to accomplish in the project. Please set aside two to four hours for the initial consultation.


Step 3 - The Estimate & Contract

Based upon our discussions, we will prepare a very detailed estimate which outlines the scope of your project and the corresponding costs. This is the time to make changes and discuss specifics so it’s important that you thoroughly review the estimate and the contract. Once everything meets with your approval, we will ask you to sign and return one copy of each to us along with a deposit.


Step 4 - Construction Begins

It’s exciting to watch as the job progresses and you see your project take shape. Construction, though, is often a messy business. At Strongheart we do our very best to make sure that there is as little disruption as possible. For example, we allow sufficient time every day to clean up the job site and stow our equipment and supplies. Our crew is always courteous and mindful that this is your home.


Step 5 - Changes to the Project

Although we would like to have all the details of the project hammered out before starting construction, occasionally clients decide to make changes and adjustments to plans as the project proceeds. If possible, we try to accommodate changes but it’s important to remember that changes often add expense and time delays to the project. Consequently, we try to make sure that the planning process is as thorough as possible. If changes are required, Strongheart will compile a change order which you will need to review and sign so that we are both clear about your needs.


Step 6 - Weekly Progress Reports

Good communication is key to realizing a successful project. We also believe that it makes more sense for you to pay for the work that is done on your project as you go along. That way you are not paying for work that is not completed and there are no big surprises at the end. Each week you will receive a detailed report which looks similar to your original estimate but which will show what percentage of the specific tasks have been completed and how much is left to be done. This way you can easily see how work is progressing.


Step 7 - Your Dream Comes True!

We do a thorough walk-through of the property with you and then we both agree on a “finish” list. The finishing touches are put on the project and a good clean-up follows. Congratulations! Your project is now complete and you can start enjoying all the rewards. You will also have peace of mind knowing that Strongheart stands behind its work and offers a warranty which begins on the date the project is completed.
